Design ideas for PVC basic formula

Polyethylene wax and Fischer-Tropsch wax which is better to use (the difference between the two)

How to distinguish between polyethylene wax and Fischer-Tropsch wax? What are the differences between polyethylene wax and Fischer-Tropsch wax? Which is better, polyethylene wax or Fischer-Tropsch wax? Fischer-tropsch wax is a by-product of coal chemical industry, paraffin wax is separated from petroleum distillation, polyethylene wax is also called PE wax, is a low molecular weight polyethylene, Fischer-Tropsch wax is composed of the relative molecular weight of 500-1000 straight chain, saturated high-carbon paraffin. This gives the chemical a fine crystal structure, high melting point, narrow melting point range, low oil content, low penetration, low mobility, low melting viscosity, hardness, wear resistance and high stability.

聚乙烯蜡和费托蜡哪个更好用(两者的区别)

The difference between polyethylene wax and Fischer-Tropsch wax, which one works better

⑴ Molecular weight. The molecular weight of Fischer-Tropsch wax is much lower than that of polyethylene wax, generally 600-800, the highest is not more than 1000, the viscosity is low, generally 6-8, and the high is not more than 10, the molecular chain of Fischer-Tropsch wax is a straight chain, almost no branch chain, the oil content of Fischer-Tropsch wax is low, and the hardness is high. High crystallity, easy to penetrate into high-viscosity macromolecular chains, significantly reduce melt viscosity, small migration in the processing process, Fischer-Tropsch wax is more focused on lubrication, for products with high lubrication requirements, such as hard PVC pipe profiles, stabilizers, and simple filler masterbatches, such as calcium carbonate fill, salt white fill, used in injection molding wire drawing extrusion of the filler masterbatches, Fischer-tropsch wax is usually used. The molecular weight of polyethylene wax is generally 1000-2000, and even thousands of high ones are available, and the viscosity is generally dozens to hundreds of thousands or even tens of thousands, and the pe wax molecular chain has many branch chains.

(2) Fischer-Tropsch wax is saturated directly connected alkane, does not contain double bonds, has strong antioxidant ability and good weather resistance.

(3) The viscosity of Fischer-Tropsch wax is much lower than that of polyethylene wax, only about 10. The same lubrication effect can be achieved with a smaller dosage. The amount used is only 70-80% of the polyethylene wax.

Fischer-tropsch wax has good compatibility with PVC and can be used as both internal and external lubricants. It can be used as a good internal lubricant to effectively control shear conditions, promote flow, control friction and melting properties, thereby improving thermal stability. At the same time, because of its high crystallinity and high linearity structure, Fischer-Tropsch wax makes PVC products obtain the best physical and processing properties. According to the need, the Fischer-Tropsch process can synthesize alkanes with different chain lengths to change the molecular weight of the final product and form a series of products.

Therefore, the biggest difference between Fischer-Tropsch wax and polyethylene wax is that the source is different, the Fischer-Tropsch wax is processed from coal, and the polyethylene wax is processed from petroleum. It is because of their different sources and different raw materials that their index characteristics are different, and the effect of their use is also different.

This is probably the most important difference between Fischer-Tropsch wax and polyethylene wax, which may not be very comprehensive.
